Blog: American Quaintrelle

PORTFOLIO
The American Quaintrelle was the first site I launched, in 2015, and it is where I taught myself the fundamentals of digital storytelling. It began as a WordPress lifestyle and travel blog, built around my writing and photography, with sections for Adventure, Culture, Eats, Life Lessons, and Oddities.
I handled the full build and upkeep, page structure, layout choices, image selection and edits, post formatting, and basic site management. It was also where I started using Photoshop with purpose, editing photos for consistency and learning how visual choices change the feel of a story.
The content came from the road. I traveled to around 12 countries and wrote about what I noticed, what I learned, and how places changed my perspective. Some of the more polished versions of the site and several articles are no longer accessible, but the project still matters to me because it marks the start of my work in web design, blogging, and content production.
